I love water. I truly believes it calms and cures our bodies and minds. A lifetime goal is to own some sort of waterfront property.
So it shouldn’t be surprising that I always encourage and adore sessions by or in the water. This is especially true about maternity sessions.
I strive to make women feel empowered and like a goddess while pregnant – and I believe a setting by the water amplifies that goddess vibe.
During our client consultation, Destiny requested a location with water for her maternity photos I was instantly excited and the wheels in my head started turning when I learned she wanted to be adventurous and get in the water!
I’ve been to Climber’s Run many times with my children to climb the rocks and creek stomp but have never done an official photo session there.
When she came in for her dress consultation we picked dresses we knew would go with the setting. I always encourage try ons about a week or two before a maternity session as bodies late in pregnancy can change quickly. A hour long maternity session allows for three dresses. You can select from my closet – it’s always growing – or wear something of your own. No matter what, you should feel beautiful!
The evening was crisp and cool. We had the entire park to ourselves. The rushing water was loud and I felt like I was playing charades trying to direct poses. Thank goodness Destiny’s mom was along and could be the interpreter.
The evening gifted us with a candy colored sunset to go with my show stopping tulle mermaid gown. She rocked those fierce poses! Pure enchantment!
Their baby boys has now arrived and will be visiting the studio this coming week for his newborn photos. Congratulations Mama!
